Sometime in the morning hours of Sunday August 17 a parked unoccupied motor vehicle was struck by another motor vehicle on a south end street. The driver of the vehicle drove off leaving the victims vehicle with extensive damage. Several hours later the victim attended to their vehicle and noticed the damage. Police were subsequently contacted and attended the scene.
As a result of evidence gathered at the scene and through investigative work police located the driver of the suspect vehicle. A 26 year old Barrie resident was charged with several Highway Traffic Offences and given a future court date.
