Morning Drunk Driver Caught In Listowel

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – On Monday May 25, 2015, shortly after 11 a.m. the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call about a vehicle whose driver appeared to be impaired in the area of Wallace Ave. North in Listowel.

A Perth County OPP officer located a red Honda CRV and observed it pull into a driveway. The officer spoke to the female driver who displayed signs of impairment. The female was arrested and transported to the North Perth OPP Detachment in Listowel where she failed two Intoxilyzer Breath Tests.

Sherry COLLINS (48) of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with, “drive while ability impaired”, and “care or control over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood”, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Listowel on June 24, 2015, where she will have to answer to the charges. She also received an automatic 90 day drivers licence suspension and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.
