More Impaired Drivers Busted

(Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE program on Peterborough County Road 48 on Friday night just after 10:30pm.

Alex MATTHEWS (age 29) of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township, ON was arrested and charged with:

Operating a vehicle with more than 80mg of alcohol in his blood

The accused is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Court on January 07, 2016.

(Otonabee-South Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a driver Saturday morning just after 2:00am on Heritage Line.

Timothy David OATES (age 19) of London, ON was arrested and charged with:

Care and control of a vehicle with more than 80mg of alcohol in his blood

The accused is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Court on January 14, 2016.

(Asphodel-Norwood Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle at a RIDE spot check Saturday afternoon just after 2:30pm at Peterborough County Road 8 at County Road 40.

Robert Guy LARUSH (age 50) of Asphodel-Norwood Township, ON was arrested and charged with:

Operating a vehicle with more than 80mg of alcohol in is blood

The accused is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Court on January 14, 2016.

(Municipality of Trent Lakes, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle Sunday afternoon just before 3:00pm on Peterborough County Road 503.

Roderick Norman Robert SWARTMAN (age 48) of Gravenhurst, ON was arrested and charged with:

Refuse to provide a breath sample

The accused is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Court on Janudary 14, 2016.
