Peterborough County OPP members were busy on the Highways and Waterways with impaired drivers this past weekend. A total of seven drivers were arrested and charged with 17 offences relating to alcohol and driving.
(Peterborough County, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle driving erratically on Charlotte Street in the City of Peterborough shortly after 2:30am Saturday morning.
The suspect utilized his emergency brake to slide his vehicle sideway in front of officers. After an investigation, Michael FOSS (age 33) of Peterborough, ON was arrested and charged with:
Impaired Driving
Refuse to provide a breath sample
Stunt driving in relation to causing his vehicle to loose traction

(Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a citizen complaint about a possible impaired driver on Preston Road Saturday night shortly after 11:30pm.
Officers stopped the suspect’s vehicle and found the male driver to have been drinking. Lannie PEREIRA (age 37) of Brampton, ON was arrested and charged with:

(Selwyn Township, ON) – Marine Unit members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a boat on Clear Lake and investigated the driver for alcohol consumption Saturday evening shortly before 6:00pm.
Investigating officers arrested and charged a 36 year old Peterborough man, after he allegedly tested almost four times the legal limit of blood/alcohol concentration allowed in the Province of Ontario. Charges include:
Impaired Driving
Driving with more than 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood
Operating a vessel with open liquor
Operating a vessel without an operators card
Operating a vessel without the prescribed safety equipment

(Cavan-Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a citizen complaint of an erratic driver on Highway 115 on Saturday evening shortly after 7:00pm.

(Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a citizen complaint of an erratic driver on Highway 7 on Saturday evening shortly after 10:00pm.
The driver of the vehicle was found to have been drinking. Daren Brian HALEY (age 30) of Peterborough, ON was arrested and charged with:

(Asphodel-Norwood Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a citizen complaint of an erratic driver on Highway 7 on Sunday morning, shortly after 3:00am.
The driver of the vehicle was found to have been drinking. Ryan Douglas BOYLES (age 23) of Asphodel-Norwood Township, ON was arrested and charged with:

(Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to assist security at the Recreation and Performance Motor Show (RPM) at the Havelock Jamboree grounds shortly before 1:30am Sunday morning.
Security at the event had detained a male who was alleged to have been driving erratically at the event. The male driver was found to have been drinking. Barry Joseph YOUNG (age 21) of Selwyn Township, ON was arrested and charged with:

Dangerous driving
