Wingham police (Timmy and the Timbits) will testify in court they have no issues being video recorded while on the job, as it is the Public’s Right to do so. They say this in front of a Judge to make it seem like they never have anything to hide, but that is far from the truth.
One of the hidden videos taken early this year clearly shows a Wingham officer objecting to being recorded, admits he isn’t using his body camera (violation of policy), claims every Wingham officer is pure, etc. This video and other hidden Wingham Cop Watch videos will be released in the coming weeks depending on council’s actions tonight.
The Wingham police always have an excuse not to hand over body camera footage despite their alleged policy of using body cameras for every interaction with the Public. That is why it is WFP policy to have a minimum of two cameras going for every interaction with the police. Those “Real Police Only, I record all police interactions” bumper stickers aren’t just for show, it is a warning to corrupt police that everything they say will be used against them, a tactic they constantly employ.
