Mitchell Methamphetamine Bust – BAILLIE & HILLSON

(MITCHELL, ON) – On May 25, 2019 at approximately 10:30 p.m., a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Perth County detachment conducted a traffic stop for a suspected impaired driver in Mitchell.

While speaking with the driver, the officer observed open alcohol in the vehicle.

Further investigation revealed that the female driver and male passenger were in possession of a controlled substance.

Colleen BAILLIE, 55-years-old, of Huron East was arrested and charged with;

Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Heroin

Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine

Fail to Comply with Probation Order

Shane HILLSON, 40-years-old, of Huron East was arrested and charged with;

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Heroin

Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine

Both are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on June 24, 2019 to answer the charges.

As a result of this occurrence, police also seized offence related property that consisted of drug trafficking paraphernalia and cash. The estimated value of the seized Controlled Substance is $2,500. The vehicle that they were driving was towed.
