(HALIBURTON, ON.) – On Thursday, August 14, 2014 just before 10:30pm officers from the Haliburton Highlands detachment of the OPP were made aware that a female had wandered from her residence located west of Haliburton. Detachment members, along with the assistance of Canine and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) began searching for the missing female who had last been observed at her residence on August 13, 2014.
The OPP’s helicopter and Snowmobile ATV Vessel Enforcement (SAVE) units attended the location to assist with the search. Katie MA 33 years-old from Dysart Et Al has been located deceased. Foul play is not expected. The OPP would like to thank the public for their assistance.
