(ENGLEHART, ON) Members of the Englehart Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have observed an increased number of mischief calls in the Town of Earlton during the month of August.
Investigations involve reports of mischief, vandalism including spray painting, movement of residence and business furniture, damage to gardening and plants, theft of shopping carts, door knocks and more during the evening hours.
All members of the public are reminded to secure their residence or commercial property. Vehicles should be locked and all valuables are best to be kept out of the vehicle or out of sight. You may want a light timer or a motion light placed in specific areas. Your property should appear occupied. Have a trusted neighbor park in your driveway when away.
