(CALEDON, ON) – On September 29th, 2014 at approximately 2:30 am, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol in the area of Queen Street in the Village of Bolton. Officers observed a white Toyota Matrix exiting a parking lot and proceeded northbound on Queen Street at a high rate of speed. The officers conducted a vehicle stop to check on the driver’s sobriety. Upon speaking with the male driver, the officers immediately detected an odour of alcohol on his breath and demanded the driver produce a sample of his breath. The driver registered a fail on the roadside test and he was transported to Detachment for further testing.
Michael Joseph TESONE, 37, from Caledon was arrested and charged with Over 80.
The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on October 9, 2014.
