MALE ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF PROPERTY AND THEFT

(CALEDON, ON) – On October 3rd, 2014, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the theft of a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed that the victim had entered into an agreement to store some of his vehicles at a Creditview Road property. When the male returned to check on his property, he was unable to locate one of his vehicles, a black 2004 Dodge Neon R/T. While investigating the missing vehicle, officers observed a neighbouring male arrive home in a black 2004 Dodge Neon R/T. Officers also learned that the licence plates were not associated with the vehicle he was operating.

In conclusion, Stephen Michael DAWSON, 26, from Caledon was arrested and charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, Theft Over $5,000 and Highway Traffic Act of Ontario charges.

He was held overnight and made an appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville the following day.
