(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – On April 26, 2018 at approximately 4:53pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) an officer conducted speed measuring enforcement in South Stormont Township and intercepted a vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy. The vehicle was stopped for travelling 158km/h (100km/h zone) on Highway 401, South Stormont Township.
Further investigation resulted in the seizure of several fraudulent cards and a quantity of suspected marihuana.
Michael ERMILUS (29) of Laval, Quebec is charged with;
– Possession – Credit Card (7 counts)
– Fraud Under $5000 ( 4 counts)
– Possession of a Controlled Substance
– Possession of Property obtained by crime – under $5000
– Race a Motor Vehicle – excessive speed (Highway Traffic Act)
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on April 27, 2018.
