Michael DONNELLY – Drunk Driving

(CALEDON, ON) – On July 20th, 2014 at approximately 8:30 pm, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision involving 2 cars on Highway 10 and the Grange Side Road. Investigation revealed that a gray Chevrolet was following a gray Toyota southbound on Highway 10. For an unknown reason, the Toyota stopped abruptly causing the collision.

After determining that the injuries were minor, the officers approached the driver of the Chevrolet and immediately detected an odour of alcohol on his breath. The male was arrested and transported to Detachment for testing.

In conclusion, Michael DONNELLY, 32, from Barrie was arrested and charged with Operate Motor Vehicle Over 80.

The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on August 14, 2014.
