(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment has charged a 28-year-old male after police were called to investigate an incident at a Cedar Street, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at approximately 8:02 p.m., police responded to the Cedar Street address after being contacted by a concerned resident.
Through the course of investigation it has been determined that the male attended the address with a weapon and became involved in a verbal altercation which turned into a physical confrontation with another male. He then fled from the area in an unknown direction.
On Thursday, May 19, 2016 at approximately 9:55 a.m., the male attended the Norfolk County OPP Detachment where he was arrested. During the course of being taken into custody, police located a quantity of drugs.
Charged with the following offences is 28-year-old Michael Charles TRAINA of Norfolk County, Ontario.
Assault with a weapon
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Cannabis Resin
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
