Michael Chapman – Breach Probation – Drunk Driving – Under Suspension – No Insurance – No Plate

(Morris Turnberry, ON) On October 22, 2010 shortly after 7:00 pm, a Huron OPP officer stopped a vehicle on Clyde Line after seeing the vehicle being operated in a manner to suggest the driver was impaired. The officer stopped the vehicle and upon speaking with the driver, made the determination that he was impaired by alcohol.

The driver was arrested and taken to the Huron OPP Detachment where he met with a qualified Intoxilizer Technician to provide two samples of his breath. The results of the tests confirmed that the driver had a blood alcohol level that was above the legal limit of 80 milligrams.

As a result of the traffic stop and ensuing investigation, Michael CHAPMAN (40) of Morris Turnberry has been charged with one count of Breach Probation, one count of Impaired Driving, one count of Drive With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol, one count of Drive While Under Suspension, one count of Drive with No Insurance and one count of Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle. He will answer to these charges in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on November 18, 2010. His licence was suspended for 90 days as per statute.
