(Huron East, ON) On October 22, 2010 at approximately 5:45 pm, a Huron OPP officer observed a vehicle travelling more than 50 kph above the posted speed limit on Huron Road in Huron East. The officer began to initiate a traffic stop and the driver attempted to evade police by hiding in a driveway. The vehicle and driver were located.
Upon speaking to the occupants of the vehicle, the officer observed cannabis marihuana inside the car as well as open liquor. The driver was arrested and later released facing several charges.
Darrell CROCKER (24) of Huron East is now facing one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marihuana, one count of Race a Motor Vehicle, one count of Drive Motor Vehicle With Open Container of Liquor and one count of Fail to Stop for Police. He will answer to his charges on December 20, 2010 in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
