(AMHERSTVIEW, ON)- On Sunday, December 6, 2015 at 5:09 p.m. officers with the Loyalist Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police attended a residence in Amherstview in response to a 911 hang up call.
Police attended and determined that the caller had left the residence.
Just after 6 p.m. officers located the female who had called 911 in a vehicle in Odessa.
As a result of the subsequent police investigation the woman and the male driver of the vehicle were arrested for possession of a controlled substance (crystal methamphetamine).
Police seized individual baggies of crystal methamphetamine with a total weight of 3.5 grams from within the vehicle.
Charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking is 27 year-old Douglas WOOD and 21 year-old Jessie KING, of Amherstview.
WOOD faces further charges of Failing to Comply with an Undertaking and 2 counts of Failing to Comply with Probation. He was held in custody and appeared at a bail hearing yesterday.
Both are scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Napanee in January 2016.
