(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police received a complaint of an assault that occurred in the north side of Kenora. On Wednesday November 5, 2014 just before 9:00 p.m., police received a report of an assault towards a male and female. Upon further investigation, it was determined money was stolen from one of the victims. Both victims received minor injuries.
As a result of this investigation, Merril LAND, age 25 of Kenora has been charged with Robbery with Violence, Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (CC) and Possession of a Schedule II Substance-Marihuana under 30 grams under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Jason KEJICK, age 25 of Kenora and Terrance HUNTER, age 35 of Kenora have been charged with Adult Robbery with Violence contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
Winston FOSTER, age 20 of Kenora has been charged with Adult Robbery with Violence and Adult Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The Kenora detachment with the assistance of Kenora Street Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Unit is continuing to investigate the incident.
The males are to appear in Kenora court on November 7, 2014 to answer to the charges.
