Memorial Fountain Damaged

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to an incident at a St Patrick Street, Port Dover, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Monday, April 6, 2015 at approximately 12:08 p.m., police were contacted by a concerned resident after they noticed that there was damage to the war memorial fountain located at Silver Lake.

Through investigation it was determined that the top of the concrete tier was damaged however it was located in the middle tier of the fountain.

Police are continuing to investigate in order to determine if the war memorial fountain was intentionally damaged. OPP are seeking the public’s assistance with this investigation and anyone with information is being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

“The OPP continue to appeal to all residents to report any and all suspicious activity to police when it happens,” comments Constable Ed Sanchuk, Norfolk County OPP.
