(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in a Whitby man facing numerous charges.
On May 13, 2015 an OPP officer stopped a vehicle on Highway 35 for a Highway Traffic Act (HTA) related offence. Further investigation resulted in the driver, Matthew LESLIE, 28 years of age, being charged with the following offences:
Operating a motor vehicle without insurance, contrary to the Automobile Insurance Act
Altering the validation, contrary to the HTA
Driving with no currently validated permit, contrary to the HTA
The plate was seized from the vehicle at the time of the incident.
