(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On March 5, 2014 at approximately 4:48 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were patrolling the Town of Fergus and stopped a 2008 Ford on Forfar Street East for a traffic violation. Police spoke with the male driver and discovered that he was ordered by the court not to be driving a motor vehicle. During the investigation marihuana was also located.
Matthew COUPE age 23 of Owen Sound has been charged with Possession of Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is also charged with Driving While Disqualified and Fail to Comply with an Undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was scheduled to appear in Guelph Bail court on March 6, 2014 to answer to the charges.
