(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) -On February 21, 2014 at approximately 3:27 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were sent to investigate a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta that left the roadway and came to a rest in a ditch on Speedvale Avenue West, Guelph-Eramosa Township. A male was spoken with and he showed signs of alcohol consumption. He was arrested and transported to a Wellington County Operations Centre.
The Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Matthew COOK age 21 of Derby Township has been charged Care or Control While Impaired and Care or Control Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on March 11, 2014 to answer to the charges.
