Marijuana Trafficking Charges Laid

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment has charged a 62-year-old male, 58-year-old female and 41-year-old male after conducting an investigation at an Adams Avenue, Delhi, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at approximately 9:01 p.m., officers were on patrol in the area of Adams Avenue when a vehicle attracted the officer’s attention. The vehicle was subsequently stopped by police and investigated.

As officers were dealing with the driver and front passenger of the vehicle, the passenger in the rear fled on foot. OPP Canine Services attended and subsequently located the male and took him into custody without further incident.

As result of the investigation, police have seized a quantity of Marihuana along with a substantial amount of Canadian currency.

Charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking Marihuana and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 is 62-year-old Xuan Phuc DINH of Kitchener, Ontario.

Charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking marihuana and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000 is 58-year-old Thi Kanh NGUYEN of Kitchener, Ontario.

Charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking Marihuana is 41-year-old Vincent BROWN of Norfolk County, Ontario.

All are to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
