(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment investigated a sudden death at a Talbot Street (Hwy #3) Cayuga, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Sunday September 13th, 2015 at approximately 7:20 a.m., members of the Haldimand County OPP Detachment and Paramedics responded to a medical emergency call located on the Cayuga Bridge,Talbot St. Cayuga.
Upon arrival of Emergency Services a 68 year old male with a self-inflicted gunshot wound was located.
The male was transported to hospital by paramedics where he was pronounced deceased by the attending physician. The death is not being treated as suspicious and no foul play is suspected.
The OPP Forensic Identification Section assisted with the investigation.
Talbot St was closed for approximately 4 hours to allow for police investigation.
