Man Charged with Failing to Comply

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for breaching his release conditions.

On July 29, 2014, the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was to obey a daily curfew of 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Shortly after 4:00 a.m. this morning, officers responded to the report of a suspicious person in the area of Oxley Drive in Chatham. A homeowner observed the man in her driveway. Officers were given his physical description. The man was located riding his bicycle on McNaughton Avenue West. The 36-year-old Chatham man has been charged with failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
