Man Charged with Driving While Under Suspension

Last night, an officer on general patrol observed a vehicle travelling on Lacroix Street in Chatham. The officer initiated a traffic stop and learned that the driver was currently serving two licence suspensions, one for failing to pay for family support and the second for unpaid fines. The 46-year-old Chatham man was charged with two counts of driving while under suspension. The vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days as per the Vehicle Impoundment Program.
