The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a report of domestic violence.
On January 11, 2014, a woman reported that she had been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. It is alleged that the man assaulted and choked the woman during a verbal argument. The 24-year Chatham woman did not seek medical attention. Through investigation, the woman further disclosed an assault that occurred last year.
Yesterday morning, police located the man and he was arrested. The 24-year-old Chatham man has been charged with assault x2 and overcoming resistance to commit an indictable offence. The man was released with conditions pending a future court date.
