Man Charged with Break and Enter

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a break and enter last month in Chatham.

On October 12, 2014 around 4:00 a.m. an unknown suspect damaged two doors at McDonald’s on Richmond Street. The man entered the restaurant and stole two donation boxes containing approximately $40 each. The damage was estimated at $970.

Through investigation, police identified the man responsible. Last night, the 45-year-old Chatham man was located and taken into custody. He has been charged with mischief under $5000 and break and enter. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
