On March 26th, 2015 just after 8:30pm, police responded to an apartment on Lancaster St W, in Kitchener for a complaint about a male abusing a dog and threatening to kill it. The incident occurred within the residence. Police responded to the apartment to investigate the complaint, and with the assistance of the Kitchener Waterloo Humane Society, checked on the well being of 2 dogs found within. The occupant of the residence, a 33 year old Kitchener man, was arrested and charged with Uttering Threats to Kill an Animal and possession of Marihuana. The dogs were removed from the residence and placed into the care of the Humane Society. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a court appearance on May 13, 2015.
