On Wednesday March 25, 2015 at approximately 10:30 am, a male entered a residence on Hamilton St in Cambridge, took a set vehicle keys and and then allegedly stole a vehicle from the driveway.
On March 26, 2015 just after 7:40am, this vehicle, a 2005 Corolla, was involved in a hit and run collision in the area of Gunn Avenue and Erindale Cres., Cambridge. There were no reported injuries. Police were contacted and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused. Just after 8am, the vehicle was located abandoned in the Trico Drive and Newport Drive area. A K9 track ended with the arrest of the suspect identified as a 40 year old Cambridge male. The accused will appear in Kitchener court today for a bail hearing on the charges of: Break and Enter and Commit and Theft of a motor vehicle. Police investigation is continuing and further charges are anticipated to be laid.
