(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Monday September 8th, 2014, shortly after 2:00pm, Quinte West OPP officers were called to a downtown Trenton business for an assault. The police investigation revealed that the accused male confronted a male in the downtown business parking lot about some money that was owed to him for a job he completed. The accused became angry when the victim refused to pay him. The accused threw a rock at the victim’s vehicle in the parking lot. He then picked up the rock again and attempted to throw it at the victim; however he missed the victim and the rock damaged a second vehicle in the parking lot. The accused fled the scene on a bicycle; however, he was located and arrested by police a short time later on Old Highway 2 in Bayside. 50 year old Shawn OGDEN of Belleville has been charged with assault with a weapon and mischief under $5000. OGDEN was released on a Promise to Appear with a first appearance date in October at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
