(Bancroft, Ontario) – On August 10th 2014, the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the report of a stolen Polaris ATV from Joy Bible Camp Lane in Faraday Township.
On August 24th 2014, the Bancroft OPP investigated the theft of a Jeep Cherokee from a parking area on Hastings Street North in the Town of Bancroft. On the same day, police also investigated mischief to sign on Joy Bible Camp Lane in Faraday Township.
Investigation into these incidents has resulted in the arrest of an 18 year old male from Faraday Township. He has been charged with:
Theft over $5000
Theft under $5000
Mischief under $5000
He has been released from custody on a promise to appear with conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on September 19th 2014.
The male charged was a young person at the time of the offences; as a result his identity cannot be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
