(Asphodel Norwood Township, ON) – On Monday, January 20, at approximately 3:04 p.m., members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of a domestic dispute that occurred at a Highway 7 residence.
Attending officers were advised that a 19 year old female and a 27 year old male had been involved in a domestic relationship for several months, and had been living together at the residence. During the afternoon the two had become involved in a verbal confrontation that quickly escalated into a physical one.
As a result of the investigation a 27 year old male resident of Asphodel Norwood has been charged with Assault, Mischief Under $5000, and Failing to Comply with Probation.
He was released from custody with a future court appearance scheduled for February 13, 2014 to appear in Peterborough Provincial Courts.
The identities of the parties involved are being withheld due to the nature of the offence.
