(KENORA, ON) On Friday Saturday May 16, 2015 just after 6:00 p.m., members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 658 south of Redditt. Police located the sport utility vehicle severely damaged in the ditch of Highway 658. The driver had had left the scene, but was located shortly after by police. Police determined the driver had been consuming alcohol. He was arrested and transported for further tests. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, 30 year old Sean TURNER of Kenora has been charged with Impaired Driving contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC), and Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in Blood contrary to Section 253(1)(b)CC.
He is to appear in Kenora Court on June 25, 2015 to answer to the charges.
