Light Plane Forced Landing

(MARMORA & LAKE TOWNSHIP, ON) – On the 7th of August 2015 at approx. 7:30am, a single engine plane was forced to land in a field north of Stirling for reasons still under investigation. While attempting to land the plane, the lone occupant/pilot, hit some live hydro lines causing a single hydro pole to break off.

There was minimal damage to the planes landing gear and the pilot, a local Center Hastings resident, walked away with no injuries.

Hydro One is currently at the scene repairing the hydro pole and lines.

At this time the Ontario Provincial Police are assisting Transport Canada with the investigation.
