(ELGIN COUNTY, ON) – On Saturday, September 03, 2016 at approximately 8:10pm, Elgin County OPP was dispatched to a single motor vehicle rollover on Plank Road near Tunnel Line South of Vienna, ON.
The vehicle, a Volkswagen GTI was northbound on Plank Rd, passed Teal Nevill Line. At one point the vehicle went off the roadway, rolling numerous times and coming to a rest within a tree on the east side of the roadway.
The St. Thomas Elgin EMS, Oxford EMS, and Bayham Fire Department attended the scene. Paramedics and volunteer fire fighters tended to the individuals of the vehicle. A 20 year old male was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Plank Rd between Tunnel Line and Teal Nevill Line will remain closed while police continue to investigate this collision. The Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are called into investigate the cause of the collision.
