(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) County of Brant Detachment were called to attend the Grand River in Paris on 26 June 2015 at 11:45am in response to a canoe flipping and 3 people being ejected from the vessel.
Police attended along with County of Brant Fire and located the 2 adults and 1 child who all made it safely to shore uninjured because of the proper use of personal floatation devices and proper boat safety equipment.
The County of Brant OPP would like to remind the public that you must have all the necessary safety equipment when operating all vessels including canoes and kayaks. These items are not just for show they can save your life!
