(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment has charged a 23 year old female after police stopped a motor vehicle at a Main Street, Port Dover, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Friday, August 21, 2015, at approximately 1:31 a.m., police were contacted by a concerned citizen about a motor vehicle travelling on Main Street. Officers attended the area and located the vehicle.
As a result of investigation, police arrested and charged 23-year-old Leah MORRISON of Hamilton, Ontario with impaired driving, fail or refuse to provide sample and class G2 driver- blood alcohol concentration above zero.
She is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
“There will be zero tolerance for motorists driving aggressively, impaired by drugs or alcohol, distracted drivers or those who fail to buckle up. Driving safety is everyone’s responsibility and it starts before the vehicle is put into drive” comments Constable Ed Sanchuk, Norfolk County OPP.
