(BRIGHTON, ON) –On April 9, 2015 Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a possible impaired driver in the Brighton area. Officers located the Blue Ford pickup truck on Young Street shortly after 6pm. Officers observed several empty and partially full cans of beer in the truck and arrested the driver.
The driver was taken to the Quinte West OPP detachment for further tests. As a result of these tests, Laura CLAREY age 28 of Castleton is charged with Impaired Care & Control of a motor vehicle and Exceed .08mg. CLAREY was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brighton on May 5, 2015.
