(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On March 21, 2015 at approximately 7:39 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 6 just north of Kenilworth, Wellington North Township. A male driving a 2008 Suzuki was observed travelling northbound well above the posted speed limit and was locked on radar at 137 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Larry RUTTAN-RUDE age 24 of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on May 20, 2015 to answer the charge.
