(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Street Crime Unit have charged a 27 year old male and 52 year old female after conducting an investigation at various Port Rowan and Long Point, Norfolk County, Ontario addresses.
Between December 2014 and January 2015, police received several reports of break enters and theft of property from various addresses in the Port Rowan and Long Point area.
On Tuesday, January 6, 2015, police executed a search warrant at a Highway 59, Port Rowan, Ontario address, arresting two individuals. Police recovered thousands of dollars in stolen property which included firearms, a solar powered traffic control system, tools and other various property that was reported to police. A quantity of drugs was also seized during the execution of the search warrant.
Charged with the following offences is 27 year old David Daniel MINER of Norfolk County, Ontario.
Possession of Cocaine
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Marihuana
Possession of Cannabis resin
Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 X2
Fail to comply with recognizance
Fail to comply with probation order X2
Theft Under $5,000 of a motor vehicle X2
Break and Enter X2
Break and Enter a place and steal firearms
Possession of break in instruments
Charged with the following offences is 52 year old Lana Danielle MCKAY of Norfolk County, Ontario.
Possession of Cocaine
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Marihuana
Possession of Cannabis resin
Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 X2
Both are to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
