(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH) – On November 11, 2016, at approximately 2:29 pm, a member of the Traffic Unit, Nottawasaga Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), was patrolling the 10th Side road, between the 5th and 6th Line of New Tecumseth when he observed a tandem dump truck (dump truck pulling a dump trailer) travelling in excess of the speed limit. The vehicle was travelling over 110 km/hr in a 60 km/hr speed zone.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver, Lakvir TOOR, age 39, of Brampton, was charged with stunt driving. The vehicle has been impounded for 7 days, as well as his driving privileges suspended for 7 days.
He will appear in Court at a later date to answer to the charges.
