Lakeshore Man Facing Impaired and Hit and Run Charges

(LAKESHORE, ON) — The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Lakeshore received a call for a report of a motor vehicle collision where one of the vehicles involved had left the scene on April 8, 2016 at approximately 4:15 p.m.

Officers responded to the intersection of Manning Road at Essex County Road 46 and spoke to the driver of the vehicle involved who was being treated for minor injuries by Essex Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

Officers located the front bumper of the vehicle that fled the scene and were able to determine who the registered owner of the vehicle was.

Through information received, officers located the male on Lakeshore Road 235 a short while later. He exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested.

David MOLYNEUX, age 59 of Lakeshore, was charged with Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident, Care or Control While Impaired and Care or Control Over 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content. He will appear in a Windsor court on April 27, 2016 to answer to the charges.
