LABOUR DAY WEEKEND

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West OPP had a busy long weekend responding to 166 calls for service over the last 4 days.

To ensure roadways in Quinte West were safe over the long weekend R.I.D.E. programs were set up all weekend in various locations of the city. Over 600 drivers were checked resulting in 10 provincial offence charges, 12 highway traffic act warnings, and 3 breath tests were administered but no impaired driving charges were laid.

BREAK AND ENTER

Quinte West OPP also attended to a call for a break and enter that occurred at Trenton address. Sometime between 10 pm on September 1st 2013 and 7:30 am on September 2nd unknown persons attended to a Trenton address and entered the home via a window. When inside the unknown person(s) stole a laptop computer and cell phone, there are no suspects in this matter at this time.
