(Essa Township,ON) – On September 2, 2015 at 7 pm Nottawasaga OPP crime unit members were on Brentwood Road near Angus when they observed a heated argument involving two people near a vehicle.
Further investigation resulted in the female driver providing roadside breath test for alcohol which she registered a fail.
As a result 31 year old Kristen GORDON of Barrie,Ontario was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol contrary to the Criminal Code. She will appear in Barrie Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
With assistance from CF Base Borden Military Police officers a 26 year old male from Barrie,Ontario who was part of incident was arrested for Public intoxication and resisting arrest.
Police remind the public that plainclothes are out in community observing for criminal and Provincial offences violations as part of OPP Community Mobilization initiative. This enhances the detachment’s regular uniformed patrols in marked police vehicles.
This is also an excellent example of team effort of OPP and Military Police officers in keeping our community safe.
