(KAPUSKASING, ON) – On September 2, 2015, the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a drug warrant at a residence on Mundy Street in the Town of Kapuskasing. Within the residence, which was located in a school zone, police seized a large quantity of pills suspected to be Oxycodone and Morphine, $1,700 in Canadian currency as well as drug paraphernalia.
As a result, Daniel BENSON, 63, of Kapuskasing was arrested and charged with the following offences:
· Three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The accused was remanded into custody and will be attending the Ontario Court of Justice in Cochrane on September 4, 2015 at 10:00 am, for his bail hearing.
