Krista MERIAM – Drunk Driving

(BLUEWATER, ON) – A 32 year old female driver is now facing a charge of Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol following a traffic stop on July 26, 2014. Just after 2:30 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a Buick sedan in Bayfield on Bayfield Terrace near Tuyll Street. Upon speaking with the driver the officer noted the driver had been consuming alcohol. A roadside screening test was completed and the driver registered a fail. She was arrested and transported to the Huron OPP detachment for breath tests. She provided two samples of her breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both tests registered over the legal limit.

As a result, 32 year old Krista MERIAM from Goderich has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. She has court appearance scheduled for August 25, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

The motor vehicle was impounded and her driver’s licence has been automatically suspended for 90 days.
