(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in the driver facing numerous charges.
On March 30, 2014 an OPP officer observed a vehicle travelling in excess of the speed limit on Highway 35 near Tower Road and subsequently stopped the vehicle. As a result of the stop, the driver, Kimberly JENNINGS, 44 years of age was charged with speeding.
Further investigation revealed that the accused was under suspension, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and that she was driving while disqualified, contrary to the Criminal Code. JENNINGS was also charged with these offences.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on April 24, 2014.
