Killaloe OPP Weekly Release

During the week of the 30 May 2016, to the 5 June 2016, there were 98 calls for service, including the Whitney Detachment.

There were ten motor vehicle collisions, four were animal related.

There were two domestic dispute calls for service during the week of the 30 May 2016, to the 5 June 2016. There were no domestic related incidents involving criminal code charges.

Motor Vehicle Collision

On the 31 May 2016 at approximately 10:40 a.m., Whitney OPP Constable Brent Darraugh attended a single motor vehicle collision on Highway # 60, in Algonquin Provincial Park. The male driver of the vehicle was charged with Careless Driving, section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed.

ATV Collision

On the 04 June 2016 at approximately 3: 51 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Chris Miller received a call of an ATV collision on Wildlife Road, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp. The male youth driver received minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. This incident remains under investigation.

Breach of Recognizance Conditions

On the 5 June 2016 at approximately 4:35 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Jason Golds investigated a breach of recognizance order incident. As a result of police investigation, 64 yr. old Daniel SULLIVAN of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Twp. was charged with Breach of Recognizance, section 145(3) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was held for a bail court hearing, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke.

Refuse to Provide Breath Sample Arrest

On the 3 June 2016 at approximately 11:23 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Ryan Lapierre and Constable Jason Golds received a noise complaint call for service, on Bonnechere Street East, in Bonnechere Valley Twp. As a result of police investigation, 31 yr. old Kevin GRAY of Bonnechere Valley Twp. was charged for Fail or Refuse to Provide a Breath Sample, section 254(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe.

Impaired / Over 80 Charge

On the 2 June 2016 at approximately 2: 20 a.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Jordan Bullis conducted a traffic stop on Highway # 28, Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Twp. The driver of the vehicle, 56 yr. old Patsy KELLER, of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Twp. was charged with Impaired Over 80, section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe.

Theft

On the 30 May 2016 at approximately 2:40 p.m., Killaloe OPP received a call of theft from a cottage, on Victoria Lake Road, South Algonquin Twp. Stolen is a silver Yamaha Outboard motor, and a water pump foot valve, with plastic hose. This incident remains under investigation.
