There were ten motor vehicle collisions one, was animal related.
There were seven domestic dispute calls for service during the week of the 18 July 2016, to the 24 July 2016. There was one domestic related incident involving criminal code charges.
Breach of Probation Charge
On the 21 July 2016 at approximately 12:17 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Mike Recoskie received a domestic breach of probation call on John Street in Bonnechere Valley Twp. As a result of police investigation, a 55 yr. old male from Bonnechere Valley has been charged with Breach of Probation, x 3 section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was held for bail court at the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
Motor Vehicle Collison / Impaired Charge
On the 22 July 2016 at approximately 7:27 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Brandon Cassibo received a call of a motor vehicle collision on Palmer Road, Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Twp. The motor vehicle involved had struck several guard rails. As a result of police investigation, 42 yr. old Scott LEE of Barrie has been charged with Impaired Operation section 253 (1)(a) and Over 80, section 253 (1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear, with a court date at the Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The vehicle was towed and the license suspended.
Stunt Driving Charge
On the 20 July 2016 at approximately 4:39 p.m., Whitney OPP Constable Keith Jones was operating moving radar on Highway # 60 in South Algonquin Twp., and observed a Black Corvette which appeared to be travelling at a high rate of speed. The 42 yr. old driver, Robert DEADY of Bancroft was charged with Stunt Driving section 172 of the Highway Traffic Act. The accused was issued a summons to appear in court. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the license suspended for seven days.
Theft
On the 20 July 2016 at approximately 7:11 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Brandon Cassibo received a theft call for service from Crosstown Construction, on Highway # 60 in Madawaska Valley Twp. A Bobcat Skidder and a Millroad aluminum trailer were stolen. This incident remains under investigation.
