(NAPANEE, ON) On March 7th, 2014 at 4:18 a.m. an officer with the OPP Highway Safety Division was monitoring traffic on Hwy 401 near Deseronto Road in Tyendinaga Township.
The officer noticed a vehicle travelling westbound at a high rate of speed and locked the vehicle on radar travelling at 190 km/h.
The vehicle, a black 2010 Jaguar, was stopped and the driver was charged with stunt driving. He was issued a seven day drivers licence suspension and his vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.
The vehicle driver, 24 year-old Khalil KANAAN of Ottawa, was released on a summons and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Napanee on May 8th.
